macOS and Windows capability matrix

What v1.7.1 ships, what public source supports, and what the current audit actually ran.

Audited 2026-08-01. A published package is availability evidence, not automatic proof that every UI path behaved identically on both operating systems. This page keeps those claims separate.

Your-turn alertsReleased and source-backedReleased and source-backed; not rerun on a Windows device in this auditRelease and source evidence establish the feature boundary. This audit did not replay every notification, sound, focus, or deep-link path on both systems.
Provider usage and reset windowsCurrent published UI evidence and sourceImplementation is present; no current Windows UI verificationClaude and Codex usage pages intentionally describe the currently observed macOS surface and do not infer Windows parity.
Estimated API value and report cardsCurrent published UI evidence and sourceImplementation is present; no current Windows UI verificationEstimated API value is not subscription spend, savings, or a provider bill. A source path is not a substitute for a Windows real-device run.
Local processing boundaryNo Agent Island account or product telemetryNo Agent Island account or product telemetrySession processing is local. Optional website analytics are separate from the desktop product and require consent.

How to read the matrix

Published means an official release artifact exists. Source-backed means the implementation or test contract is visible in the public repository. Current verification means this audit observed the named result on the named platform. These states are not interchangeable.

The current fixture dataset covers fourteen synthetic Claude Code and Codex session-state cases on macOS. It does not measure latency, unknown future transcript formats, Windows UI behavior, downloads, or user outcomes.
